We offer anything from a gentle 2 hour stroll to a mountain top that opens up amazing views over the southwest Reykjanes peninsula or a challenging 6 hour scramble to some very exciting summits or destinations off the beaten track. Most of our hikes can be done as trail runs as well.
Our guides are storytellers and outdoor enthusiasts who love to educate and inform guests about everything there is to know about the geology, folklore, history and landscape of the areas they visit.
Our Reykjavik mountain hikes are all self drive adventures. We will provide you with the google map location and you will meet your guide on site at the trail head.

You bring Warm clothes and socks, wind- and waterproof jacket, sturdy shoes, gloves, buff, hat and sunglasses. Water and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended but not necessary.
Minimum age 5 yrs
Warm clothes such as wool, fleece/soft-shell, hardshell and a puffy jacket are mandatory on all tours. On a good summer day it is possible to strip down to a thin shirt and stuff the rest in a small backpack, but usually only for a short while! The Icelandic weather is famously volatile and warm layers and rain gear should always be at hand.
Good and sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes are a must. Pair your boots with warm and soft hiking socks and you're golden.
Don't forget gloves. Yes, also in the summertime :) Plus something to cover your neck and head with. Preferably that something is made out of wool, which means it doesn't loose it's insulation qualities if wet.
Also bring sunglasses and hiking poles, if you've got them.
Last, but not least. Fill your water bottle with the pure Icelandic tap water and slip it into your backpack along with some energy bars / snacks. If the tour lasts more than 3 hrs. you should also pack a light lunch, such as a sandwich.
