WEATHER AND CONDITIONS

Iceland is Iceland, the weather controls everything on this island and therefore Outsiders reserver the right to alter tours due to weather and conditions with safety of clients and our staff in mind. We always try to come up with an alternative (if possible) before we cancel the tour. 

Participants have to be physically fit to participate in the activities for which they have enrolled, and they have to inform the guide, prior to the departure of any medical conditions and/or previous injuries that may be triggered or aggravated by such activities.

If participants are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during the time of the tour, Outsiders reserves the right to refuse participation of that person in the tour and refund will not be possible.

CLOTHING

Appropriate footwear and suitable outdoor clothing must be worn at all times. Outsiders reserve the right to refuse participation in an adventure if clients are not equipped with the appropriate gear. In case of refusal, a refund will not be possible. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancelations must be made by letter or e-mail to outsiders@outsiders.is 

Cancelation and Refund

Outsiders reserves the right to keep the below fee to cover costs. 

Short adventures

• Outsiders reserves the right to always keep a 10% payment fee to cover costs for the booking & rescheduling.
• If you must reschedule or cancel the booking, please provide us with 72-hour notice. This way we might be able to resell the seats.
• Cancellations received less than 72 hours before tour departure, will not be refunded. This includes bookings made within 72 hours before departure.
• If clients cancel their tour more than 72 hours before departure, a 90% refund will be given.
• “No Shows” will not be refunded or if the client is not on time before the tour departure.
• Outsiders reserve the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind.
• The tours can be canceled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions, with short notice. In such cases, a 100% refund is provided.

Note: We don’t refund if the client is late or doesn’t show up, or if the weather is not good and the tour is still on schedule. We recommend that participants stay close to the start of the tour the night before the tour.

Longer adventures

• 10% of the tour price is non-refundable.
• 50% of tour price is charged if cancelled 30-59 days prior to departure.
• 75% of tour price is charged if cancelled 16-29 days prior to departure.
• 100% of the tour price is charged if formally cancelled with less than 16 days’ notice.

Tailor made tours 

Confirmation fee must be paid at time of booking and full payment needs to have arrive 8 weeks prior to departure. If cancelled Outsiders reserve to keep10% payment fee to cover cost for the booking and rescheduling, Outsiders will not refund cost already paid (f.ex hotel confirmation fee and other fees already paid)

INSURANCE

Safety is our number 1 priority and fun is number 1.5. Our guides are highly trained and always do their best to keep everybody safe. As we all know life happens and therefore we do advise our clients to have a travel insurance that is valid in Iceland. 

LIABILITY

No responsibility is accepted for losses, expenses due to delays, changes of flights, closed roads or other services or because of strikes, accidents, sickness, damage, negligence, weather, war, changes in bus schedules, or other similar causes. Outsiders does not assume responsibility for accidents or death that can be traced to the participant´s negligence, acts of third parties or exterior circumstances such as weather, natural occurrences, war or other similar causes.

These Terms and Conditions are in accordance with Icelandic law.
